Accidental Damage Protection
Accidental Damage Protection
Accidental Damage Protection gives you peace of mind during your hire. Adding this protection caps your out-of-pocket expenses by covering up to $1,000 toward approved repair or replacement costs if accidental damage occurs.
Without Accidental Damage Protection, you remain fully liable for all repair or replacement costs resulting from damage, loss, or late return.
Pricing
Accidental Damage Protection pricing is based on the garment's rental price:
Rentals under $99: $11.95
Rentals $100 – $199: $14.95
Rentals $200 and above: $19.95
What Is Covered
Subject to policy approval, Accidental Damage Protection covers up to $1,000 in costs for:
- Staining that cannot be removed through professional cleaning
- Accidental tears, seam splits, or broken zippers from normal wear

What Is NOT Covered (Exclusions)
Accidental Damage Protection does not cover loss, negligence, intentional acts, or avoidable damage. You remain liable for 100% of costs arising from:

- Lost, stolen, or unreturned items, including parcels lost in transit without proof of lodgement (a physical post office lodgement receipt)
- Late returns resulting in lost bookings for subsequent clients
- Fake tan transfer or staining caused by wearing the garment before tan is fully developed and dry
- Adhesive damage from any tape or adhesive other than Bodibond (the only approved adhesive)
- Avoidable physical damage, such as drag/hem wear, snagging on jewellery or embellished handbags, or exposure to excessive heat
- Unauthorised DIY attempts to clean, alter, cut, or repair the garment.
- Garments rented for high-risk uses, such as commercial photoshoots, theatrical productions, or sub-letting, without prior written approval.
What to Do if Damage Occurs
-
Do not attempt to clean or repair the item yourself. DIY cleaning or repairs can permanently ruin fabrics and voids your protection.
- Minor damage: Return the item on your scheduled return date.
- Significant damage or loss: Email hiretohelp_@outlook.com immediately with photos and details before returning.
Repair & Replacement Assessment
- Assessment: We reserve the sole right to determine whether an item can be repaired or requires full replacement, consulting professional repair partners where necessary.
- Replacement Value: "Replacement cost" is calculated using the standard Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the item at the time of hire.
- Charge Authorization: By placing an order, you authorize us to charge your payment method for any unapproved damage, late fees, or replacement balances exceeding the $1,000 protection limit.
