TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By participating in a try on and/or hiring with Hire to Help, you are accepting and consenting to the terms and conditions below.

Try-On Appointments

Based out of Lightsview, Adelaide

Try On appointments are free of charge. They have a maximum duration of 30 minutes; please arrive promptly as the end time of your appointment is final and will not be extended. When you arrive, please message us first via Instagram (@hiretohelp).

You must inform Hire to Help of the garments you wish to try on prior to the appointment. Be reasonable with the number of garments you select to try. Selecting too many can result in damage if tried on too quickly, and is also difficult to organise.

You will not be permitted to try on any garments if you are wearing makeup or fake tan. Please also steer clear of perfumes, moisturisers, or anything that may leave residue on the garments. If you do try on garments whilst wearing makeup or fake tan you will be liable to pay a cleaning fee of $10 per garment for any garments left with makeup or tan residue.

If you wish to bring an additional person to your try-on, you must request permission for this before arrival; otherwise, they will not be welcome. Only one extra person is permitted.

Be careful when trying on garments; notify me if you have damaged a garment in the process of trying on. I would much rather be told than find it myself later! Usually, fixes are relatively inexpensive. Be respectful of the property and remove shoes before entering the house.

If you are feeling unwell, please cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Securing A Garment

For in-person bookings, a $20 deposit (bond) is required to secure a garment with an RRP under $200 for a particular date, this deposit (bond) is increased to $50 for garments with an RRP over $200. Without placing this deposit (bond), there is no guarantee your desired garment will be available.

Should you cancel the hire within a reasonable time frame, the full amount paid on the dress hire may be credited. The hire fee will be taken in part, or full if cancellation occurs close to the date of hiring, this is at the discretion of Hire to Help.

You are welcome to try on an assortment of items should you not wish to place a deposit.

The deposit (bond) will be returned via bank transfer within a week of the garments return, provided the return is not late, and the garment is in an acceptable condition.

Through the website, payment is required in full – if change of mind occurs in an adequate amount of time before your event, a credit note may be arranged via DM or email.

Cleaning

The hire price includes a basic cleaning fee. Any garments returned heavily stained will incur an additional cleaning fee. Criteria for this is at the sole discretion of Hire to Help, who will also determine the cost of the additional cleaning fee on a case-by-case basis.

If Hire to Help cannot remove the stains, garments will be sent to a dry cleaner which can cost anywhere from $15-$35 depending on the garment and severity of the stain. This amount is a rough estimate; dry cleaning fees may still be outside of this range.

Please do not try and get out stains on your own.

Damage

If a garment is damaged, you will be liable to pay the costs to repair the garment. If the garment cannot be repaired or costs to repair exceed RRP, you will be liable to pay the full RRP of the damaged garment or the fair market value, whichever is higher.

Damage includes but is not limited to; creating holes in garments, creating stains that are not capable of being readily removed, causing tears or rips to garments, causing irreversible stretching of garments, or causing any other issue that prevents the garment from being hired subsequently without a remedy being sought.

The determination of whether a garment is damaged is at the sole discretion of Hire to Help.

Returning the Garment

For events that take place on a Friday and Saturday, the hire must be returned by Sunday. For events taking place on Sunday, the hire must be returned on Monday.

Arrangements for the return date will be determined by Hire to Help for events that take place on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
A late fee of $20 per day and per garment will be incurred for each 24 hour period the hire has been returned late. This also applies to shoes and accessories.

Return the garment in the bag it was given in so that the bag can be re-used for other hires, it is best for the planet! If the bag breaks or you misplace it, a $5 fee will be taken.

Shipping

The following terms & conditions apply if you require any postage for your hire.

Generally, the cut off for shipping is Monday, absolute latest Tuesday the week of your event. You may risk requesting shipment at a later point of the week --shipping tends to take one day if located in a metro area; however it is risky.  Allow extra time and book further ahead if based in rural/regional locations. If booking in line with these guidelines and located in metro areas, Hire to Help may offer a credit note if the garment does not arrive in time. If a garment is booked outside of this window, Hire to Help is not responsible if the shipment does not arrive in time. In this case, you are still required to ship the dress back immediately once received. A credit note may be applied in extenuating circumstances, but generally, the cost is worn by the customer.

All shipping costs are to be paid by the person responsible for the hire. The total cost will generally be $30.

All garments will be express shipped and, when returning, must be returned using Australia Post Express Post. If Express Post is not used, you will be liable to incur a late fee for every 24 hour period the garment is late.

For weekend hires, you will be required to ship the garment on Monday morning and provide the tracking number by 12 PM to avoid the incursion of late fees. To determine late fees, the date and time you are required to provide the tracking number by will be considered the ‘specified return time’. Every 24 hours exceeding the specified date and time that a tracking number is required by, will result in a $20 late fee.

Hire to Help is not responsible for any delays caused by Australia Post.
Hire to Help is not responsible in the event that Australia Post incorrectly delivers the garment, or, the garment gets stolen. If the item is marked as ‘delivered’ by Australia post, Hire to Help will have been taken to have delivered the garment and the person responsible for the hire will be considered in possession of the garment and will be responsible for its return.
